Glenidan Consultancy is an independent boutique firm that
specializes in accounting standards and compliance since
2005. As we have no ties to any public accounting firms we can
undertake all aspects of a client engagement with no risk of
conflict of interest. The team at Glenidan has several years
of experience with accounting standards (Canadian GAAP, US GAAP and
International Financial Reporting Standards) and compliance
(Sarbanes Oxley Act and National Instrument 52-109). We
continue to observe industry best practices and incorporate these
into our methodology and approach.
We allow our clients to focus on their core competencies by
outsourcing their accounting standards and compliance
requirements to us. One of our observations is that companies have
not dedicated enough time on planning their approach to comply with
new accounting or compliance requirements. Poorly
planned engagements often results in duplicate and unnecessary
processes, procedures and controls.
Our objective is to deliver a cost-effective solution to our
clients by designing a programme that focuses on the essential
requirements. During the planning phase of an engagement we will
work with you to identify the issues and then provide a plan as to
how we intend to address your requirements. We communicate
with you as we work through the assignment so that we deliver what
we promise. At the end of the assignment we provide a summary
of what worked well, and what did not, so that your organization is
better equipped to manage this process in the future.
All of our consultants are either Chartered Accountants or
Certified Information Systems Auditors. Our services range
from a custom-designed programmes to providing expert staff to
address particular needs such as Quality Assurance reviewers or
Project Managers. As we have very little learning curve we
minimize the time spent on the project and ultimately reduce the
project cost.
